Welcome to Applied Informatics!

What does Applied Informatics stand for? First and foremost, we are a team of software engineering professionals with many years of real-world experience in the software industry, from smart devices to large enterprise systems.

Since I founded the company in 2004, Applied Informatics stands for sustainable quality improvements in software development, delivered through our software development tools, consulting services and training programs. Our business model combines the best of Open Source and commercial software development, to help you bring your products to market ahead of your competition.

We are the founders of the POCO C++ Libraries Open Source project, one of the most outstanding and important C++ libraries in years. While not all of our products are available under an Open Source license, nevertheless all of our class library products are delivered in full source code form. What does this mean for you? It means no vendor lock-in, platform independence, less risk and more productive software development.
